Should I keep both ?

I cannot believe that I have not posted here since 2016 .

Having said that I don’t post too often on my other site

Maybe my excuse is that my crafting time is a bit erratic and my real life is not that full of adventure

either . To top it all , I have not taken photos either .

Finally fine

Hi there , long time no see . Thanks for calling in .Sorry that I  have been gone so long  but nothing interesting to share here . Of course my cards /paper craft  for my blog ,                      http://shirley-anne-stampingforjoy.blogspot.com.au/  are uploaded more regularly .

By that I mean Doug and I have not been out and about on the gophers because it has been just too darn cold . So there has been no photographing .

This morning though we managed a quick trip to Morialta Falls . It was still brisk but we knew that there was no rain coming .

We are both well . So over Winter.  Looking forward to fine weather and being able to share photos of what we call, ” our back yard ” .

Family time

Hi blog pals , welcome to my room . So pleased to see you .

Thanks for calling in .More wintry weather today but not a great deal of rain .

Had an awesome  afternoon with DIL , Rachael and Grand daughter , Noomi .

I simply enjoyed spending time with baby while Rachael played at craft .

We all had a quick lunch before Rachael began to practice some sponging /distressing technique and stamping .  Two cards she completed . Rachael sponged coordinating SU inks on her back ground layer before stamping and fussy cutting butterfly images for her first card .The second card had a  two step floral image stamped directly to the sponged area .

Was a super afternoon .

Simply Wonderful

 

Winter sucks!  Today was cold , yesterday was cold and wet while tomorrow is going to be…you guessed it , COLD. The weekend is going to be cold and wet . Sigh. I know that it is not as cold as some Winters are in some other countries but 14 here at midday is freezing to me and Doug . Few outings but what I miss more is taking photos . Roll on sunny days .

Of course on the bright side I do get to spend more time in my craft room . I am grateful for that . Today I did a little blog /face book browsing , liking this and that . Even left a comment or two .

I spied some of her  card designs that really did inspire me . So hope you don’t mind Teresa I used one of your ideas to create this card  using a sweet image  from Wild Rose Studio.

Card stock from SU. Sentiment from MFT.Pearls from my stash .Copics as colouring medium . Have not coloured for a while so did enjoy this lot .

Too long since I have posted here . Hello to you and you and of course you . Thanks so much for calling in .

I do hope that you are enjoying life in general . If you are grieving , I pray for you to find that caring love and prayers from family and friends will  uphold  you during this difficult time .  If you are unwell , may your recovery be swift . And if you just need a hug, then I send you a huge hug . I promise not to let go before you do …..

Sandy and I enjoyed some craft time this morning then went off for a quick lunch at a nearby deli where we have become regulars on a Tuesday . I had a curried egg sandwich, which I have to say was not as nice as I would have liked . I am not a lover of mayonnaise with curried egg and lettuce . How do you make your curried egg sandwich?                               I always boil my eggs while warming some butter in a small bowl and as it melts add a quantity of curry powder .I peel off eggshells and while egg is still hot mash lightly into butter and curry then add chopped lettuce . Salt and pepper to taste  . Sandwich  some onto fresh bread and Mmmmm!!

Wow , I think that is the first time that I have shared a recipe here .

One of the cards we made today but did not finish is that which I share this time .

I found this  image on Pinterest , I think .

When printed out the image had a greyish area where the white is so I cut around the black area and adhered it to a piece of white card . The card base is Basic Black from SU . Whisper White , SU for first layer , then second dotty paper is from Kraftyhands C6 pack .  The words are sourced from SU  set , Crazy About You .Image topper was then  added with foam dots . Will add greeting inside when card needed . Hope you like .

About the sea

Hi there , welcome to my room . Cold Autumn days now so a bit more time here .Says me who wishes that were true and easy to organise . Trouble with me is that I dabble in this and that and mostly do not achieve much at all . Full time caring is not 9 to 5 I fear.And I am loathe to give up on DT spots .

Thankfully a bit of spare time this afternoon to share a little birthday make . Some time ago when browsing on line I found this paper and image and knew that it would coordinate with a die that I had . Now I believe that this topper was actually a party  table place  tag .

I cut it out and instead of folding in half I created a topper , layered it onto some Real Red card leaving small border . Then adhered it to some blue card before placing all onto white card base .I stamped SU greeting in name tag spot . I die cut some small pieces and placed them at bottom of card . The circle topper was another piece from the same on line  set. that was added to0 with foam dots .

 

oops I see a bit of foam dot under the starfish die cut ..

Past works reviewed 14/5/16

Hello I am baaaack ! Thanks for calling in and welcome to my room .

Slightly  better weather this morning so we were able gopher out for coffee this morning . Mind you it was still quite brisk . By the time we had a coffee and toasted sandwich the weather had deteriorated , making a trip to the Linear Park trails unpalatable . No rain , just a chilling wind . Even though we were rugged up , Doug is on blood thinners and really feels the cold so we decided to head home instead . Now dear hubby is in the couch rugged up and watching a movie through closed eyes .  LOL   .

This morning after going through my box of unfinished cards I found some that have not been shared . So I put inserts in those that need it  , some bling on front of others and took some photos

All cards have been created from papers , images and card from my craft room stash

The smile card image was coloured with copics The  birthday card made from printed matter from pinned images /sentiment. The With love  card has topper from kraftyhands and the Party card,  an image from K&K.

Reaching for the treat

Now the card I share today is ….

The card base is of Natural Ivory , SU. Wood Grain layer from Kraftyhands C6 paper pack adhered to Choc Chip card , SU.   Die cut hat from brown card scrap .Sentiment from LOTV. Two sizes of SU  punches used .

Doug and I managed a quick outing this morning as the sun was shining so I have come into my room refreshed . Off now to  add  my DT comments to some challenge blogs , to create a DT card and to  check my emails .                                                                                                               Hope you like my quick make for today .

Not this old?

Hi there , welcome to my room and this reestablished site of mine . This is where I am sharing a collection of cards made just for my stash .

Cold and wet here today so spare time for crafting . looking forward to tomorrow morning when I have a couple of friends over for card making .  Have 3 kits for them to make and take . Actually has been a busy week for me but I handled it ok .Two birthday cards , a DT card and two B/cards and a few comments . No time for some groups that I had joined in and am  so sorry .Feel bad about not joining in on some of the group shares and conversations and it has been months since I made an  appearance . Have you done that ? There are so many wonderful people out there in so many fabulous groups sharing so much talent and friendship that it really is hard not to want to join in .

But I digress….

 Found this image on  the internet . The back ground and sentiment tags are from Kraftyhands CD ROM , By Gone Transport . Rhinestones from Kraftyhands  Card base is from my  SU stash .Star punch from SU. all elements are edged sponged with  JH, Distress Ink , Vintage Photo.I went over the word “older” with red  Wink of Stella .

Must find some images for male cards other than motor related as I am on a roll with masculine cards .

Must leave the room for now as it is afternoon tea time and I am craving for a sweet biscuit.

Hi there , thanks for calling in . I do hope you like my card  .Awfully late here tonight as I have had some DT stuff to do earlier .
